Steel Lintels: Reliable Structural Support for Construction.

Lintels are installed within brickwork to provide load-bearing support over windows and doors. Steel is an excellent material for these components as it can handle a range of load ratings, from light to extra heavy duty. Our steel lintels are made from pre-galvanised steel, offering protection against rust and corrosion. They are also lighter and easier to handle than concrete alternatives.

Types of Steel Lintels:

Steel can be cut, rolled, or pressed into various shapes, offering a broad range of lintel types. We supply both box and cavity lintels. Box lintels can be used for internal or external openings and with various wall thicknesses. They feature perforations that act as a plaster key, enabling them to carry the entire load of wet masonry upon installation. Cavity lintels have integrated insulation to minimise thermal bridging. They also have a flat plate on either side to facilitate continued block work and include a soldier course on the outside for the face brickwork

If you need assistance finding the most appropriate lintels for your project, please email sales@buildingshop.co.uk or call 01372 230 830 to speak with our team.
